Spinal MS and Natural Remedies
Hello Everyone! I was recently diagnosed with Spinal MS and wanted to know if there is anyone who has the same thing. Most people I speak to have it in there brain but I have been told that they are slightly different and I wanted to hear the experiences from someone with my similar condition.
Also, if anyone has any good advice about things to eat or natural remedies that I can incorporate into my life in addition to my therapy, I would love to hear about it.
Thanks!

I also have most of my issues in my spine. The lesions are so tiny they are nearly invisible on the MRI, but we know from my symptoms that they are there. I have had MS for 17 years and have been on an allergy-free diet for the past 13. All my doctors also recommended increasing my intake of vitamin D, so I take the D3 (2,000IU) every day. From the accounts I am hearing from NIH, Vitamin D is a critical and not fully understood element for immune function. I'm not sure what it is doing for my MS but I have not been sick for a very long time and think it really makes a difference keeping my healthy. There is a growing body of evidence on this so you should look it up...including some on this site.(Read "non-traditional treatments.) Because about "natural remedies" generally. Some can be dangerous. Stay away from echinacia, zinc, and any thing with heavy metals like silver, copper, etc. Also, yoga and massage can be very beneficial. I've been on Tysabri for a few years now and find it has been helpful---not miraculous, but definitely improves my energy level and had protected me from further exacerbations.
